Summer Psalms

Following our 1 Samuel series, considering the ‘Coming of the King’, we’ll be delving into Psalms to look at the ‘Character of the King’.

The Life Course

We’ll be starting the Life Course again in February. The course is an opportunity to explore the basics of the Christian faith and think more about what Jesus has to say about life. Find out more or register your interest here.

BOOKS

Some of these books will be in our TAC library. Otherwise find them on you favourite website or bookstore.

Enjoying God by Tim Chester. We are called to love and serve God. Tim shows how understanding God as triune provides a refreshing way to enjoy him.

Faithfully Present by Adam Ramsay. Adam’s recent book (he also authored Truth on Fire) helps us to embrace the time and place we are in and to live each day fully and faithfully present with God and with others.

Making Sense of God by Tim Keller. This is Keller’s follow up from “The Reasons For God” written for a post-modern sceptic.

Confronting Christianity by Rebecca McLaughlin. Addressing 12 controversial issues about Christianity (the Bible's teaching on gender and sexuality, the reality of heaven and hell, and more), this book shows how the gospel provides satisfying truth with refreshing grace.

Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer. Avoid being conformed into the pattern of this world and take up the rhythms of grace practiced by Christians of old as a disciple of Jesus.

No Greater Love by Rebecca McLaughlin. This is Rebecca’s new book on friendship. This is a great book to explore this profound (and too often neglected) topic as she points to Jesus and shows us how to love and practice Christian friendship.

Surprised by Joy by C.S. Lewis. Read C.S. Lewis’ autobiography and how he discovered the joy of Jesus from an atheist background and through highs and lows of life.

Humble Roots by Hannah Anderson. Anchored in the teaching of Jesus, Anderson explores how cultivating humility leads to peace and rest for your soul.
