Mission Partners
At Toongabbie Anglican Church we are excited to be a part of God’s work in spreading the good news of Jesus all over the world. We partner with our missionary families through prayer, financial and practical support so that they can reach those who are yet to know Jesus.
If you’d like to help keep global mission on the agenda of your growth group, find out more about becoming a Global Mission Advocate using the form link below.

Samuel & Emily Loa-Ferreira
Samuel and Emily with their son Oliver have been serving Portugal with European Christian Mission (ECM) since the beginning of 2022. They serve in university ministry with the Grupo Bíblico Universitário (GBU) in the city of Coimbra, pastoring, teaching and training university students from the Bible. They are also involved in local church ministry.
Compassion
Compassion is a Christian international holistic child development organisation. Through their Child Sponsorship Program, more than 2 million children are currently being released from poverty in Jesus’ name. As a church we are partnering with Compassion to support children in the Philippines area.
Geoff Wong
Geoff serves with Global Recording Network (GRN). GRN records and distributes audio-visual Bible resources for evangelism and discipleship in the least reached language groups of the world. Geoff promotes GRN's ministry and resources, tests GRN's apps to identify software bugs and improvements, and is seeking opportunities for GRN to make recordings in Japanese dialects. Currently he is working with local churches in Aomori, Northern Japan to be able to (God willing) record Bible messages in the Tsugaru dialect.
Dave and Margie Wood
Dave and Margie have been in Coober Pedy since March 2024.
We have seen God’s blessings in so many ways. Connections throughout the town have come thick and fast and include the local K – 12 area school, Coober Pedy Together (Dave), Interagency meetings (Dave and Margie), Historical Society (Margie), Dusty Radio (Dave and Margie), Country Fire Service (Dave), Park Run (Dave and Margie) and various events around town that we join in with. We are both firm believers in a walking, talking fellowshipping type of church, being out and about and meeting and spending time with people. We give thanks for so many Christian brothers and sisters visiting us in this initial stage of our ministry, deliberately sowing into us on so many occasions. Notable examples include BCA Nomads, Marrara Christian College from Darwin, and the BCA Salt and Light Tour with Kerry and Julie Medway.
Dave and Margie look forward to God superintending this church, this year and in the years to come. They give thanks for their wonderful supporters for both prayer and finances. We (TAC) are joining with 7 other churches to support their work through BCA. The church, the rectory and the hall are all underground - it can get up to 50degC in Coober Pedy!!
