In the trial of Jesus, John’s gospel invites us into the drama. We are almost sitting as the jury to determine if Jesus is the promised king of the Jews, if he is free from guilt, if he is the saviour we need. John wants us to make a decision on where we stand: with the crowds baying for blood, or with the man broken for our sake.
