At this point in Acts, we see Paul clash with the Jewish opposition that claims he preaches against the law. However, Paul shows through his testimony and preaching that he is more faithful to God and His law than those accusing him. This interaction mimics our experience, as Christians, of accusations from culture. Particularly, the accusation that Christians are unloving. Paul’s situation encourages us that even if we don’t feel an immediate sense of victory when our faith clashes with our culture, God works through all situations, no matter how troubling. We only need to remain steadfast in our faith.
